I found the perfect opportunity to give an introduction of graphic design to my nephews, age 4 and 6, while we were hanging out at our hotel in Disneyland two weeks ago. The Open Handset Alliance, a group of more than 30 technology and mobile companies, developed Android: the first complete, open, and free mobile platform. In addition to the entire Android platform being open-source, their logo is also open to the public to modify and “doodle” on. Here are some of my manifestations of the beautifully open-source Google Android logo.
I call them “Hello Droidy” and “Kim Droid Il”.
